GUIDELINES FOR UAE VISITORS 

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has established a set of criteria that all tourists to the UAE, regardless of country, must observe. COVID19 INSURANCE COVERAGE

The regulation does not include an exemption for epidemics or pandemics. In general, the holder of a residence visa issued by the UAE, coming to the country through Dubai airports, does not need prior approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (PIC) to enter the country. Those are :

  • Those who hold another type of visa, such as a newly issued residence visa
  • Work visa, short-term or long-term residence visa
  • UAE Golden Visa holders for 10 years
  • Investor or Partner Visa.
  • Visitor visa or immediate entry visa.
  • This exception does not apply to UAE residence visa holders travelling from Ethiopia.
  • Travel advice for transit passengers.

NORMS WHILE BOARDING A UAE FLIGHT 

While transit travellers are required to follow any requirements imposed by their final destination, transit travellers from the following countries must submit a negative certificate for a laboratory test for the Covid-19 virus conducted within a period not exceeding 72 hours from the time of sample collection, and by an approved health service provider with a code Quick Response (QR).

EXEMPTED FROM COVID-19 TEST

UAE nationals are exempted from taking a COVID-19 test when travelling from abroad to Dubai. However, they will be given a corona test (nose swab) upon arrival in Dubai, regardless of whether they hold a valid negative screening certificate from the country of departure.

  • Travellers accompanying first-class relatives of UAE nationals.
  • Domestic workers accompanying an Emirati sponsor during travel.

Also exempted:

  • Children under 12 years old.
  • Passengers with moderate or severe disabilities.
