The process of crossing the Oman-Dubai border is straightforward. It takes 6 to 8 hours to cross the Oman-UAE border to enter Dubai. This duration depends on traffic as well. You can also fly between Muscat and Dubai. However, the time consumed in getting to the airport, waiting at the airport, and then taking a flight does not make it any faster. Road travel is recommended. Firstly you will need to make sure that you have all the required documents that you need to cross the border –
  • Passports
  • Drivers License
  • Resident Card
  • Vehicle Registration (Mulkiya)
  • Vehicle Insurance coverage in UAE (or/and Authorization to drive rental cars from the rental company)
  • Orange Card (optional)
