French citizens do not need a visa to enter the UAE. The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) has announced that all French nationals will be exempted from the Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) scheme. The EVW scheme was introduced in March 2019 to facilitate air travel for passengers from certain countries who are eligible to apply for an eVisa prior to their journey to the UAE. It allows them to clear immigration at Dubai International Airport without first obtaining an entry visa. The exemption means that French passport holders can now stay in the UAE for up to 90 days without obtaining a visa prior to their arrival.
